they had one of those collectible promo extra-large plastic soda buckets for burton’s planet of the apes. i had one too, back in the day—the same one even, i think. i can’t actually remember the movie itself very well, but everything i’ve seen of/heard about since has led me to believe that it sucks.

Dubstep remixes always start of “okay”. I think they like to lull you into a false sense of security and the crush your soul (with mid-range wobbles and robot sex noises)

the technological solitude afforded us by computers and ipods and shit has been such a crucial part of my life that i can hardly imagine what it would’ve been like to live in an era without it. it’s kind of sad in a way i guess but i’m okay with it. i think i feel that, rather than that technology has allowed my social weaknesses to fester, it has given me some kind of anchor...

another thing that stands out about the breakfast club more every watch: i have never found a character, let alone an archetype, in high school movies that i identify with. if i admitted that bothered me a little sometimes, it would entail admitting that i’m much vainer than i’d like to admit. so i won’t.

i watched the breakfast club again tonight. the score struck me as really odd, often bordering on comical. andrew is so boring. the dancing scene seems more jarring every time but i guess maybe that’s part of its charm. the “FAG” on bender’s locker bothers me more every time. allison is my favoriter character every time.
